


The neighborhood, from old times is called “le Gros Caillou” due to a huge boulder which was a part of Paris’ fortification wall. Although the boulder was removed by Haussmann, the Gros Caillou remains a vibrant community comprised of some of Paris’s most famous shops, restaurants and attractions.
The 7th and the Gros Caillou area are well known as one of the safest and most chic areas of the capital.
